The AHA’s BLS course trains prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Our training reflects new science and education from the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
To successfully complete this video base instructor led course and receive your BLS course completion card, students must do the following:
• Participate in hands-on interactive demonstrations of high-quality CPR skills
• Pass the Adult CPR and AED Skills Test
• Pass the Infant CPR Skills Test
• Score at least 84% on the exam

A BLS blended learning course includes completion of online HeartCode BLS before attending a hands-on skills session training. The Heartcode BLS blended learning can be purchased HeartCode® BLS | AHA
Students must FIRST go to https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls and take the BLS Heart Code. You must bring your online
course completion certificate to class. You pay the AHA directly for this part.

Heartsaver courses are for anyone with little or no medical training, who needs a course completion card for work, regulatory (For example: OSHA), or other requirements. Or, anyone wanting to be prepared for an emergency.
This instructor-led course is a video-based, which teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a cardiac or first aid basic emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Course material needed: Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Student Workbook (product 20-1126)
Participants learn online information for CPR AED and First aid. Upon completion can proceed to a hands on skill session

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course trains participants how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

First aid basics includes medical, injury, poison, and environmental emergencies, preventing illnesses and injuries and controlling bleeding & bandaging and more.
